Can I ask how/why?
You've done/are doing exactly what I want to do/be doing.

I'm a UK based motoring blogger. One of about 100. I write 2 or 3 articles a day and spend 4 or 5 hours doing so - as well as working full time. I started in June 2012 and have nearly 1.6 million hits on the site. Because the site is doing well I get invites to media days and sometimes get loan cars. It's as simple as that.
You should never want to do it. Just do it, and see what happens

Absolutely.
Some friends and I have been working on a project titled "Let's Just Drive" but due to our own careers and family obligations, it's taking some time to get off of the ground. Our only real goal is to get enough traffic that we'll be able to get industry access.
Thanks, and I'm just gonna go ahead and follow you. Do you use FB or Twitter etc as well? I'd love to follow your stuff there, too.

Thanks. Only too happy to help. Twitter . Facebook . Website . Contact
Make a logo. Get a unique website name and address. Write a few blogs. Report some news with a spin. Decide on a direction. I asked for my first press car after 10 months. Was being invited to media days after 3 months.
Most successful blogs 1,000 hits a day. I get minimum 4,000 because I work hard and am sometimes slightly controversial
